Among these machines were different kinds of plotters like drum plotter, XY plotter, pen type plotters, etc. The machines with computer-aided design function were capable of shape models from different materials like wood or foam, by means of layer-by-layer technology. The objects produced by CAD tables could reach up to 48&#215;48 inches with a depth of 4 inches as a maximum. The process is fulfilled by means of the special enhanced technology named CAD or computer aided design, which is meant for building of three-dimensional image of the ordered model.</p>
<p>So what does the process start from? A special program, which is the basis of computer aided design, builds the image of the model you are going to create. The image is a drawing that must be prepared beforehand on the paper. This illustration is programmed by means of numerical method. Finally, as we have already mention, you have the image of the future model on the screen of your monitor. This image is already presented in the form of three-dimensional picture.  The program divides the picture into multitude of segments.  Rapid prototyping designers usually call these segment cross sections and the process itself is a cross sectioning.
